Building Your Blog (Write this Down)
Buckle your seat belts kids, this is going to be a long one. I've been debating writing this for a while now. I hate to dish out information that I myself am not really an expert at. It's been one year since I started blogging and I've learned so much along the way! I wanted to share some tips for starting your own blog. While I know most of my readers already have sites, I do have some other followers who aren't a part of the blog world, but it's always nice for us to get some reminders. I've received a few questions asking for advice and I thought it'd be fun to spread some knowledge. So here we go...
Was that fun? I think the most important part of this is my "Things to Remember." A blog should be 100% you. Don't start a blog just to make money or you won't be genuine! Start it to share all the awesome things you love and to grow design skills or creativity or to write. Making money may fall into place later. Always remember why you started and never let others tear you down. Not everyone will enjoy your blog and some people may even find the need to tell you that and be rude about it. DON'T let this get to you. Know that you have a bunch of amazing, loyal and loving readers. And a community that supports what you do. There are thousands of us writing about the same things, but there are also thousands of ways to present these things differently. So find unique and creative ways to share your ideas! I'm definitely still working on all of this myself.
Being your own designer is probably the hardest thing. I've changed my site around so many times and it's so hard for me to settle. Sometimes I regret posting anything here and immediately remove it. Sometimes it's best to try it out for a week and change it if I hate it. I'm working on redesigning small elements of my site and won't be posting them until I'm 100% sure that I love them. It's seriously been the hardest thing. Thanks so much for being patient and still visiting even while things are changing here and there! You all are the best.

I loved creating a "How To" type of post. I think I'll add it to the rotation. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
