St. Patrick's Day & Spring Cleaning

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I thought I'd leave some musings on the blog today and a wonderful picture of Grace Kelly (circa 1954, St. Patrick's Day) to continue my excitement for Grace of Monaco. I'm not a huge St. Patrick's Day celebrator. We attempted to go to a bar crawl in Arlington this weekend, and honestly, all I wanted to do was get dinner and drinks and hangout somewhere where people weren't so drunk. After about an hour out at a bar and a long wait in line, we opted for drinks and dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, and then continued with drinks at The American Tap Room, relaxing by the fire pits. The gorgeous weather made up for the annoyance of a bar crawl, I'm talking 70 degrees people! And guess what? Today we have 5 inches of snow on the ground. Cool?
The weather is such a tease these days... but Spring is 3 days away and I'm very excited and ready for it. Hoping that the warmer weather comes to stay. Definitely hoping that we have nicer weather next week for my birthday (and my boyfriends)! We're turning 24 (AHHH!) and are hoping to spend a nice weekend away in Annapolis, somewhere on the water.
Spring is a lot like autumn for me. A time when a refresh is in store. I've been cleaning out my closet and preparing for a new, smarter wardrobe. I've been eating better and trying to live each day with a more positive, carefree attitude. This is hard, but I've made it a point to focus on things I love and not let others bring me down. I want to explore more and go on new adventures. I want to say "yes" more. I want to be healthier - physically, emotionally and mentally. And spring is the best time to start.
My blog is no exception to this "refresh." With a new floral tint to my header and spring in the air, I was so inspired Saturday. So yesterday I spent half the day and night creating new posts and new layouts. Lots of bloggers seem to be in a funk lately - no creative thoughts, no inspiration, writer's block, etc. I promise, inspiration does come! Be patient.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
