I'm Natalie Catalina Vargas, a consultant and part-time freelance designer living in Washington, DC. This is my happy place, a curated collection of nice things with good design.
I started my blog in 2013 to share a bit of sartorial and interior inspiration, but quickly acquired a passion for designing things. After a few years in blogging, I began collaborating with other creatives to elevate their brands through web design and identity, with a particular interest in print. My aesthetic focuses on clean, minimalist layouts, with special attention to fonts, and usually, a hint of fun.
I’m often inspired by ephemera, typography, negative space, soft colors, and playful elements. I collect matchbooks, pins, and vintage glassware. I frequent antique shops and Trader Joes. I drink chocolate milkshakes too often and stay up too late. In another life, or perhaps later in this one, I’d be a floral designer. My go-to karaoke song is “It’s All Coming Back to Me.” When I’m not working or socializing, I’m usually found binge watching crime shows on Netflix, designing paper goods, scouting for vintage interiors I can’t afford, or endlessly scrolling through Pinterest. Lately, I’m having a lot of fun decorating my 1940s apartment and learning how to not kill my plants.
