"The revelations of the past six months that have coalesced into the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements have had us thinking a lot about the opening salvos of the sexual revolution and the heroines of those early battles for equality in the workplace and the bedroom. This winter, we found ourselves intently listening to the emotionally honest chanteuses of the ’60s and ’70s and, in particular, to Carly Simon, admiring her lovely melodies and unflinching yet poetic candor. When we watched the Fall 2018 runways in New York, what stood out were the clothes that shared the qualities we so admire in Simon: fierce, unapologetic femininity and feminism, head to toe."
In an attempt to share more photos and videos I'm inspired by - a request that came from you all earlier this year - I'm making a point to share short and sweet posts like this! I couldn't help but fall totally in love with Vogue's latest project in fashion, inspired by Carly Simon's "You're so Vain," with some of the world's most stylish women dancing their hearts out, dressed to the nines in hot off-the-runway fashions. It's epic and beautiful and fun and feminine and inspiring. What do you think?
Here are a few good things for your week! Hope it goes swimmingly. PS... I'm shocked I got a blog post up through my wisdom teeth recovery this weekend, but I did! And I'm feeling good about it. Can't wait to get back to updating a few things here this week. Stay tuned!
